Here comes Microsoft So.cl

Microsoft have recently put forth it's newest social network "So.cl" as an answer to Facebook. So.cl is basically more of an emphasis to students. The released verison isn't
the beta version. It's an experimental version which means full access is currently limited only to certain geological locations. So.cl which is being developed by Microsoft Research FUSE Labs, looks very promising indeed. The released experimental version shows
that Microsoft are building So.cl not as a rival to Facebook, but as a companion to the social giants. Like many networks and websites all around the world, So.cl is partnered with facebook. Users will be able to log in to SO.cl with their facebook accounts. Once the facebook account gets linked then they will be able to post status updates, photos, videos and links. A ver cool feature that will be found in Microsoft So.cl is that users will be able to watch video streaming while chatting! That means now I can watch my favourite movies online and that too with my friends!

Shelly Farham , form the FUSE labs says "Today, social media is a really active part of the leaning process. Someone will hear about something because their friend mentioned it on Facebook or Twitter, and from there, they search in Wikipedia or through a search engine. Then they’ll go back and do searches within Twitter to find out not just the content of new story, but also how their friends are responding to that new story but also how there friends are responding to that new story.there this real sense of conversation is happening around what they’re leaning."

The site So.cl is on air and is visible to all users across the globe. However currently only students from Washington, New York and syracuse universities can currently log in and use the service.
