Tablets to replace Textbooks in South Korea

South Korea is probably going to be the first country to replace text books with Tablets. It has been announced that South Korean Government will spend around $2 billion to replace paper based text books with digital textbooks. They are targeting to achieve this goal by 2015. Student could be able to access the classwork even from home. The material will be provided by using cloud based system where as more traditional stuff will be available on school supplied tablets.

Book lovers are opposing this program but it seems that such initiatives would have a very nice impact on environment. Papers are manufacture from trees. So you would have more Oxygen to inhale.
