Android Vs Linux

Its been debated what are the difference between the Linux and Android. For our beloved friends the kernel is same but difference lies in the upper layer as kernel for Android has been derived from the Linux kernel itself. At kernel level there are so many similarities that you could not distinguish between them at the first look.

May be one day there will be so many OS laying around but let me tell you even on that day there will one name distinguishable as it is now Linux...
