Install and try Linux 3.0-rc2 in Ubuntu 11.04
Linux kernel RC2 has been released and so many users want to upgrade 11.04 to 3.0 rc2. It has some bug
fixes and additional drivers for Ubuntu 11.04. We suggest you to not apt-get remove the previous kernel i.e. 2.x (2.x already seems wired and old now).
To download the debian packages use link here and Install the package in specified order: linux-headers-*-all.deb, linux-headers-*-generic-*.deb, and finally linux-image-*.deb.
Source could also be downloaded and compiled from Linux Kernel3.0 Source Code.Once the installation is finished reboot the system in grub boot enteries select new kernel to boot. If you get into trouble with latest kernel, reboot and select to boot into previous Linux kernel.
